My panicked solution was to take a bag of 2-row malt and add it to the mash. I still added the full amount of DME to the boil and proceeded with the rest of the recipe per the instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once I had it cooled down and it was in the fermenter, I took a sample from the port and checked the OG &#8211; 1.067 &#8211; the kit&#8217;s expected OG range is 1.46-1.050. The ABV should be an interesting number to see at the end. I did pitch a second packet of yeast, just in case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bottom line, Sunday afternoon football and brewing do not mix well.
